I sat at the musical instrument for the first time at the age of 57. I had to learn the musical notations almost from scratch. But the desire to compose my own music was helping me. And I think I'm getting somewhere.

Prior to that, I've spent more than 30 years working as a sound engineer under different conditions. At first, since 1985 I had a music band 'Stary Gorod'. I worked at the studio as well as on live shows during the concert tours. I wrote texts and made songs for the band. But after my friend, lead guitar player, Sergey Reznikov, has passed away, it was the end of the 'Stary Gorod's' journey.

I have switched to studio work in my own studio, 'Shevgota Records', working as a session sound engineer, sound technician, or a sound guy from time to time: on small-scale and large live concerts, jam-sessions, and different open-air shows.

This work is astonishing. I love the sound. I love working with the sound. I like to feel myself a one-man band, a sound bender.

But working with the sound is not all. I have a small hosting company and a web-studio. As a webmaster I create and host the sites for my small number of clients. Why small? Just so that I had enough time for other activities.

Also I repair any radio-electronic devices, and create different audio appliances (DIY audio). That's why the acoustic and the amplifier in my studio are of my own development and production.

Besides working with the sound, websites and radio electronics, I have another occupation - a psychologist. I work with people, write articles. In 2016 I have published my first book - 'In order to make your life be fine'.

While I was hepling people to solve their psychological issues, I was also working on my own ones. I know very well how difficult it is for most people to overcome the midlife crisis, which is also called a 40-year old crisis. And the biggest challenge is not to lose yourself afterwards. And I have a good recipe for everyone: no matter what, learn how to live by your desires. Those desires, which your inner-self is striving to fulfil.

I always wanted to write music, but I only gave myself permission at the age of 57, in 2017.

I believe that my music has two main differences from many other tracks:

Firstly, I follow only my inner resonance and I don't try to create music that sounds like someone else's or follows the mainstreams.
Secondly, I do it on my own. And nobody can influence the result. I don't have any arrangers, mixing and mastering engineers. I am responsible for the whole process from planning till implementation. And it feels good to know that it's nobody else's fault if I don't like something. And I will do my best to adjust it to my (my in the first place) liking. And you know, I listen to my own tracks with pleasure from time to time.

Life is only getting started after 40. Everything that was before that was just a preparation for an adulthood. And everything is possible in adulthood. You only need to allow yourself.

I allowed myself to write music at the age of 57. Back then, it was a little over two years till my first singles. In 2019 three singles were released: 'You For Me', 'Event Horizon', and 'New Happy Day'. And on Dec, 12 2021, the full album 'Mystery of the Third Planet' was released. It includes the re-mixed, re-mastered singles, as well as the new tracks.

The most important thing is, don't start listening to this album if you don't have enough time. It's not going to work out, and the album will pass you by. The album length is about 74 minutes. Find this time, listen carefully, and you will definitely like the sound, the mood, and the images that the music will start drawing in your mind.

And for me... it's time to make some new music, and who knows what else in this life, since the life is long, it's full of events and experiences.
